Plainview Library will host the State Sesquicentennial Banner

As the State's Sesquicentennial draws closer, two ambassadors are making their way across Minnesota. These emissaries are banners that will make stops at libraries in every county in the state before returning to St. Paul on May 11th for the 150th anniversary of statehood.

The banner will be at the Plainview Public Library on Friday, March 21 and at the Plainview History Center on Saturday, March 22.

Each banner is accompanied by a leather-bound journal in which visitors can write thoughts about Minnesota and the Sesquicentennial. The banners and the journals will be presented to the Governor at Statehood Week in May and will eventually find a home at the Minnesota Historical Society.

Please join us on Friday, March 21 from 9 am to 5 pm as we celebrate our state's 150th birthday. Sign the journal and leave your mark on history!
