Summer Reading Program Begins June 9

Get A Clue @ Your Library will be the 2008 theme of the Summer Reading Program.

Registration for the program is the week of June 2-6 and can be done by stopping at the front desk at the library. No phone registrations are accepted. The fee is $2.00 per child. The program is open to Pre-K through Grade 6. This year we also have a limited number of t-shirts available for $2.50 each.

The program runs from June 9 through June 27th, with a Grand Finale on Monday June 30th.

At registration, a calendar of events, a reading log and a book bag will be given to each child. The calendar of events explains the program in detail. Storytimes, treasure hunts, science events and displays will help children Get a Clue @ their Library. The primary purpose of summer reading is to encourage children to maintain or exceed their reading levels achieved during the school year. Come join us for some great reading fun! Watch our Blog for weekly postings of events.
